Daily Brief — 2026-04-26

Today's focus per weekly plan: Sunday — no shape defined; weekend rest day. New signals since yesterday: 3 task changes (1 was the daily "1 Must" task auto-completing, 1 was an automated reminder comment on a do_later pixel, 1 was Dominik posting healthy progress on a delegated task). Zero new comments requiring an Alex response. State is materially unchanged from Saturday. Same diagnosis applies: hold for Monday morning.

🔴 Urgent / Overdue

1. [OVERDUE +4d] [DRI] — PR Check: testWhenTabWithConnectionLost… gid:1213975496167929 · Apple CI Failing Tests · due Apr 22 · active Context: Same item carried from Saturday's brief. Last activity was the 4th automated overdue reminder on Apr 25 04:19. No human touched it. This is the longest-running unanswered ping in the queue (~3 weeks since Sam S's original Apr 8 ask) and it has now sat through an entire weekly plan. It cannot survive another Monday untouched. Action: Don't act today. Pre-stage the Monday-morning response in your head: (a) attempt repro → if flaky, apply label + 2-line ping to Sam S; (b) if not flaky, drop a "still investigating, ETA Wed" holding reply. First action when you sit down Monday — before email, before Slack.

Backlog cluster (informational, not urgent):

  • gid:1214136461142650 Rollback DEBUG install dir — due Apr 24, active. PR #4510 is up with green CI, waiting for review. Alex isn't the blocker — reviewer is. Push the Asana due date Monday to reflect "in review", not OVERDUE.
  • gid:1214146824281003 Project Update Reminder — due Apr 24, inbox. This is the recurring automated nag for a project status update; address as part of Monday triage.
  • do_later/quick_wins stale dates remain expected; no action.

🟠 Needs Action Today

None. It's Sunday. Nothing on the radar requires a same-day human response.

Tomorrow lineup (Monday Apr 27) — no action today, just visibility:

  • O-L Weekly Meeting (Samantha MC). She asked for discussion topics last week — drop one Monday morning if anything from this week needs surfacing.
  • gid:1213992139518104 Follow-up: restore onboarding state for duck.ai non-experiment flow — due Mon Apr 27, no comments yet. Triage: scope it Monday and either schedule, push, or close.
  • gid:1214157855537862 1:1 agenda task is due Tue Apr 28 — drop items into it as they surface Monday (Project Advisor progress, EP3 reviewer onboarding, AFK May 18, AOR target).
  • The PR Check testWhen action above.

Optional Sunday slot (low pressure): gid:1210386994396212 Readiness Self-Reflection for Potential Project Advisor — same item that sat as optional yesterday. Tuesday 1:1 with Dominik = Monday is the real prep deadline. Doing 30 min today buys runway. Skip without guilt.

🟡 Delegated — Follow Up Needed

None today. Pinging delegated owners on a Sunday is bad form.

Stale-but-wait-until-Monday:

  • gid:1212305913722018 Anh Do · assertionFailure when DBP url opened (4mo overdue) — Monday ping.
  • gid:1211742725064177 Deepankar · Login autofill empty field (5mo overdue) — Monday ping.

Healthy / no follow-up needed:

  • gid:1213798709181906 macOS AppStore UI tests · Dominik · due tomorrow Apr 27. Dominik posted Apr 25: "I have tests running locally but I'll need a bit more time to put it on CI. Hopefully I'll be able to wrap it up on Monday." Active, on-track. Watch tomorrow; no nudge needed.
  • gid:1214147157456480 Pre-ship-review · Costas · due Tue Apr 28. Owned and tracking.

GitHub Delegated PR Correlation: C-S-S text selection PR gid:1207521936429896 → still no GitHub match (40d stale, +1d vs yesterday). No close-the-loop action available.

Morning

On this day in 1803, around 3,000 meteorite fragments rained on the village of L'Aigle, France. Until then, mainstream Western science had largely dismissed peasant reports of "stones falling from the sky" as folklore. Jean-Baptiste Biot's investigation of L'Aigle became the first scientifically accepted proof that meteorites come from space — the founding event of an entire field. A sky full of evidence, taken seriously only once it landed in a French village.

🚶 Take a short walk before diving in.

Priority Order for Today

  1. Morning ritual — 🚶 take a short walk before diving in.
  2. 🛌 Rest. It's Sunday. Nothing on the radar requires a same-day human response.
  3. ⬇️ (Optional, mental pre-staging only) Decide the Monday-morning move on PR Check testWhen gid:1213975496167929 — repro attempt vs. flaky-label vs. ETA-reply. Don't post anything today.
  4. ⬇️ (Optional, only if motivated) Draft Part 1 of Advisor Readiness gid:1210386994396212 — 30 min would clear the runway for Tuesday's 1:1. Skip without guilt.
